03/14/07: I've spent the last couple of weeks finishing up the door latch pillar patch and getting all the stuff welded into place. I did end up cutting off the face of the outer rocker, rather than removing it entirely, in an attempt to save it, but still be able to get behind it to de-rust all the inner structure and get it into primer. The jury is still out if this was easier than just cutting it out and replacing the whole thing.... |
I've rebuilt the front 10 inches or so of the underside of the outer rocker. This piece is fabbed out of 16 gage and closes up the front end of the rocker |
With all the replacment pieces made, fitted and ready to go, now its time to install them!! |
